One of our customers, Paul Lister, has taken the Black & White aerial photo we have in the shop and used AI tools to add colour to it, then he took his drone out and took a modern photo of the same view.
I have combined the three images, Black & White, Colourised and Modern with the overlayed images as close as possible to lining up with each other and faded between them so the image transitions from the original to the colourised and then to the modern photo.
It’s really not surprising how many more houses there are in the modern photo, but what was a surprise to me was that there seems to be a lot more trees in the modern photo, so all in all a lot has changed, some for the worse, but some for the better.
Most importantly it is impressive to see the time and effort put in by others to celebrate the changing environment surrounding our little shop!
