Introducing our new Healthier Option – Poached Fish

We are always looking to cater for our customers needs, and are sometimes asked for ‘a fish without batter’. It’s not possible to fry a fish in the range without batter, but for most people our lightly battered option will suffice – we wipe as much batter off the fish before frying, to leave just a thin coating.

 

For some (such as coeliacs) the lightly battered fish is still not an option, due to their allergy to the flour used in the batter. To solve this, we now offer an option that will be suitable to those wanting to avoid fried food, coeliacs and vegetarians that eat fish alike – Poached Fish.

 

We take our regular size fish, and poach it in milk, which provides a smooth creamy flavour. the price is the same as our regular fish portion too.

 

The cooking time is four to five minutes, so make sure to order it when you enter the shop, but please understand that at busier times it can take longer.

 

Please note that as we fry our chips in Beef Dripping, and share pans for battered goods, the chips and other products fried in the range are not suitable for coeliacs or vegetarians.
