There have been a lot of changes at the shop since I took over, hopefully you’ll agree most have been for the better. Now it’s time to announce probably the biggest change so far. Louise has been a part of the business for longer than most people can remember, but now she has decided to move on to pastures new.
I’ve often joked about it, but it’s true to say that Louise has been here longer than some parts of the building! When she started at the shop she was meant to be helping out a friend for a few months, but a few months became a few more and a few more, until it eventually became more than 10 years! During this time the business passed through six different owners, and had various highs and lows, but the constant was Louise working every morning shift.
It will be quite a change to not have her around, but we are already considering the options as to how we will arrange the shop openings between the current staff. In due course we will probably take on another member of staff, but I’m sure there will not be another like Louise!
Louise’s last day will be Tuesday 28th October, so pop in before then if you want to say your goodbyes. Needless to say we all wish her well for the future.
